arc.hive member exhibit
November 13-28, 2021
The gallery is open 12-4 Saturday and Sundays
The word gather suggests coming together, re-connecting, uniting, collecting…Throughout periods of isolation due to the pandemic, arc.hive artists have sought refuge and comfort in their studios – coming and going, sometimes crossing paths.
The opportunity to collectively gather once again in real time to share aspects of our diverse practices comes as a celebratory occasion.Works in the exhibition explore a variety of materials, practices and concepts including photography, painting, sculpture, mixed media and experimental drawing by our ten studio members: (from top left) Karina Kalvaitis, Regan Rasmussen, Laura Feeleus, Erica Mattson, Clare Lannan, Rachel Vanderswet, Alison Bigg, Jennifer Wilson, Sandy Voldeng, and Chantal Solomon.
As part of the exhibition, we are collecting new and gently used art materials to donate to the Our Place and invite visitors to the gallery to consider contributing so we might share the gift of making with others in the community.
