studio space at arc.hive

arc.hive is centrally located on Hillside Ave. in Victoria, BC and houses 10 studio spaces for artists, performers and writers engaged in contemporary practice as well as the office for MISSA. ​Studio spaces range in size. Common areas including a gallery space, a kitchen, and a bathroom.  Annual gallery programming includes  independently juried exhibitions, studio member exhibitions and community-based projects/exhibitions taking place. Parking is readily available on the street or adjacent to nearby retail spaces.

Rent for studios ranges from $225 to $750 and includes hydro and internet access. Rent is due in advance at the beginning of each month, by e-transfer. Studio members contribute to the collaborative care of the centre and act as a supporting member for one visiting artist’s exhibition per year, meeting with the artist ahead of time to communicate gallery & exhibition policies, provide basic support for the opening and a point of contact throughout the exhibition period.
